21-day Eggciting Adventure: Day 12

Welcome Back Goat Life Farmer's!!

Today, I want to discuss why chickens sleep on a roosting bar at night? What is a roosting bar? We will take you on a video tour of the coop to discuss the roosting habits of chickens.

Who Rules the Roost?

You’re probably heard the expression, “Who rules that roost?” which refers to the dominant or alpha entity in a chicken coop or a person’s home. Chickens have personalities just like people and there may be some skirmishes occasionally over territory.

Remember pecking order? It is the same when they roost at night on their bars!
